The days that the Aquanaut collection stood in the shadow of its famous sibling, the Nautilus, have been long gone. With its powerful yet elegant lines, the Aquanaut acquired many fans, and Patek Philippe delighted them recently with new additions to the collection.

Aquanaut Chronograph goes for gold
In 2018, Patek Philippe introduced the very first chronograph in the Aquanaut collection. This Reference 5968 featured a stainless steel case with a black dial. For 2021, Patek Philippe launches two new versions, both with a case made from white gold. Through their dial and composite straps, they each get a different accent. The one in Khaki green seems to be made to explore a luscious tropical forest. The other one has a quite different character, with a stunning dial that goes from navy blue in the center to a darker tone at the edges. Here the Aquanaut chronograph gets a more nautical vibe. Both are powered by caliber CH 28-520 C, which combines a traditional column wheel to control the chronograph function, with Patek Philippe’s innovating vertical disc clutch.

Aquanaut Luce: bigger and bolder
It is not only men that have embraced the Aquanaut as the perfect casual and elegant sports watch. Women have been equally passionate fans as well, and for them, Patek Philippe is now introducing the Aquanaut Luce Reference 5267/200A with a larger diameter of 38.8mm. It is available with a dial and matching strap in three colors: black, matt white, and khaki green. All of them feature a stainless steel case with a diamond-set bezel and are fitted with a quartz movement. The new Aquanaut Luce Automatic Reference 5268/200R-001 is also fitted with the new, larger case, yet here made from pink gold, matched with a matt white dial and matching strap. This model is powered by self-winding caliber 26-330 S C.

Travel in style with Reference 5269/200R
The biggest surprise of Patek Philippe‘s recent additions to the Aquanaut collection is, without a doubt, the Reference 5269/200R. Known as the Aquanaut Luce Travel Time, is it fitted with a new movement, inspired by the caliber used in Reference 5164. However, to supply ladies with even more convenience and comfort, Patek Philippe’s new caliber E 23-250 S FUS 24H lacks the two pushers but instead controls the setting of the second time-zone by the crown. Patek Philippe captures this impressive travel watch in a rose gold case where polished and satin-brushed surfaces amplify the iconic lines of the model. The finishing touch is also the cherry on top, as Patek Philippe set the bezel with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing well over a carat.
