Piaget has a long memory for color, and Andy Warhol was one of the first people to notice. The Maison has now released the Andy Warhol Camouflage, its second limited collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, turning the artist’s 1986 Camouflage self-portraits into a dial of gold and ornamental stone marquetry.
Piaget’s Andy Warhol Camouflage is a limited edition of 86 pieces in rhodium-finished 18k white gold. The marquetry dial combines sodalite, turquoise, rose gold, and yellow gold, powered by the Manufacture 501P1 self-winding movement.

Warhol’s Camouflage series used a military pattern in deep, lively colors across his own face, a way of staging fame and its shadow at once. Piaget answers that idea without printing the portrait wholesale. The dial is built from sodalite and turquoise set against satin-finished yellow gold and polished pink gold, cut and arranged so the camouflage reads as architecture rather than camouflage print. The case is a cushion-shaped 45 x 43 mm silhouette in rhodium-finished 18k white gold, just 8.08 mm thick, water-resistant to 3 bar, on a blue alligator strap with a rhodium-finished gold ardillon buckle.

Inside is Piaget’s Manufacture self-winding 501P1, a round caliber 20.5 mm across and 3.63 mm thick, with 23 jewels, a 40-hour power reserve, and a 28,800 vph beat. Finishing includes circular Côtes de Genève, a circular-grained plate, bevelled bridges, blue screws, and a slate-grey tungsten oscillating weight. The white-gold caseback carries a laser engraving of the Piaget logo and Andy Warhol’s signature—the kind of detail that closes the loop between the wrist and the archive.
The friendship behind the watch is older than the Foundation partnership. Warhol owned dozens of watches and seven Piaget pieces, and he and Yves Piaget shared Studio 54 nights, travel, and a taste for ornamental stones on gold. Warhol was among the first customers for the Black Tie timepiece, later reissued in the mid-2010s after collector demand. In 2024 the Maison formally partnered with The Andy Warhol Foundation and named the line The Andy Warhol Collection; Camouflage is the second chapter of that official collaboration.

Only 86 pieces will be made worldwide—one for each year of the Camouflage self-portraits’ date—and pricing is available upon request through Piaget. Proceeds the Foundation receives from licensing projects of this kind support its endowment for contemporary visual arts. For a Maison that has always treated hard stone as a dial material rather than an accessory, Camouflage is less a novelty print than a return to the language Warhol already spoke fluently: color, gold, and a face half hidden in plain sight.
