In today’s world of Haute Horlogerie, the complete calendar has a different role than it once had. Perpetual and annual calendars have taken a more prominent place, while the complete, or full, calendar holds a charm all of its own. Vacheron Constantin presents this charm in the most elegant way, with a 41mm case made from white gold and a slate grey dial with a velvet finish. It gives the watch understatement and class, combined with perfect legibility. The day and month each have a window of their own, combined with a pointer date. The phases of the moon are indicated through a traditional window.

While this watch does need adjusting every month that is shorter than 31 days, the movement powering this Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle is still quite complex. It consists of 308 parts, offering a 40-hour power reserve and fitted with a 22 karat, skeletonized oscillating weight featuring the Maltese Cross. It is an evolved version of the brand’s manufacture caliber 2450 and is equipped with a stop-seconds function, as well as a precision moon phase. This means that it needs adjusting only once every 122 years. The movement itself, in part also because of its stunning finishing, can be admired through the sapphire crystal insert in the gold caseback. It was awarded the highly prestigious Geneva Seal, which is also engraved on the caseback. The finishing touch on this stunning watch is the black alligator strap with a white gold buckle. All combined introduced Vacheron Constantin with this new Traditionnelle, one of the most beautiful and desirable, complete calendar watches available today.
