Tecnomar Launches New Charter-Yacht Domus, A 118-feet “Villa By The Sea”

Tecnomar, the flagship brand of The Italian Sea Group, one of the largest international company in the luxury yachting industry, known for the construction and refit of motor yachts, and has released its latest charter-focused superyacht 36-metre Domus.

The word Domus translates to ‘house‘ in ancient Latin and truly embodies the ‘villa in the sea‘ philosophy. With an all-aluminium body, the yacht sports a dynamic and contemporary design that is strongly characterized by elements of the boats with large volumes and imposing structural and aesthetic details such as the heights, spaces and retractable windows that underline the layout of the yacht, bold and elegant.

The most evident feature of the superyacht is the expansive 60 square feet sun deck from the bow to the stern without any interruptions enabling 360 degrees view of the oceans. This space also harbours a cosy lounge area with bar, DJ boost with special equipment and a large sundeck. The up and down windows allow you to either have an enclosed space or an open-air party. The 36 sqm beach club is a great space for relaxation and is the direct passage to access the areas of the lower deck and the main deck. At the bow of the lower deck, there is a large space that houses a fully equipped gym area and a living area served also as a bar area. The main deck can be used as a living area during the day and a kitchen dining for the night.

The interiors of the Domus are just as exquisite and sleek as its exteriors. The subdued neutral colour palette with dark brown, pristine white marble complemented by light woods accents create a soothing environment for the guests. The top-to-floor windows allow a lot of sunlight and create a strong connection between the sea and decks, offering a perception of continuity between indoor and outdoor environments – an excellent way to truly feel closer to nature! The boat offers a 5-cabin layout, including two doubles, to offer guests a decidedly cosy stay with additional accommodation for a crew of 5.

The Tecnomar Domus is propelled by 4 Volvo 1350 kW engines with 4 IPS. It also uses two 50kw generators and zero speed stabilizing fins for a smoother sail. The estimated maximum cruising speed is 21 knots. The speed might be less than the last Tecnomar’s last launch the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 that soared at 60 knots, but it’s still impressive!
