CL Yachts is a shipyard that is renowned for combining forward-thinking construction processes with top-notch fit and finish; the CLX96 builds on this experience with its rugged performance and unique aesthetic. The seamless blend of gracefulness and muscularity is “workboat chic”, according to the press release. The yacht’s two-level deckhouse with reverse-sheer windshields is a paramount feature of the vessel that shines through without much effort.

The angle of those windshields has various purposes. For example, in rough seas, the reverse windshields good sight-lines by washing away the water smoothly and efficiently. It also reduces the greenhouse effect in the interior. ayedThe windshield works in concert with CLX96’s instantly recognizable plumb bow to make this yacht the star at any harbour she may visit. Finally, the vertical windows allow for more interior space making the yacht feel massive inside.

Talking about CLX96’s living space, Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis said: “The yacht’s distinctive profile is born from observations of living habits at sea and reconsidering the preconceptions of space, comfort and conviviality. Of course, comfort is a priority on a luxury yacht, but I also want those onboard to always be aware that they are on a ‘vessel’ built to transport them through space and time.”

CL Yachts anticipates the powerful and efficient twin Caterpillar C32 engines could easily power a top speed of 27 knots and cruising speed of 22 knots. The builder can now attend any refinements needed before her launch to the world, and she will soon be launched in her full glory!
