After a nail-biting four days of fantastic golf, Hublot brand ambassador Patrick Reed made golf history after securing his win at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Beating out some of golf’s finest, including Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth, Reed now holds one of the most impressive and strongest records in the world of golf.

The 27-year-old showcased his maturity and domination on the course, with more birdies than any other player (18) and 54 holes with two eagles, leading by three-shots in the final round of 18 holes. Reed secured his win on the final day of the tournament with birdie putts on 3, 12 and 14, finishing with a 15-under-par total of 273.

“There is no finer accomplishment in golf than securing victory at The Masters and we would like to offer our congratulations to Patrick of securing his status among golf’s very finest with this win,” began Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe. “He continues to show propensity to perform at his best on then biggest stages and when it matters most, demonstrating all of the characteristics of a true champion.”

Reed, or “Captain America”—the name he received in the 2014 and 2016 Ryder Cups for leading his team in points—was also in good company on the leaderboard, which included additional Hublot brand ambassadors Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson. As he finally wore his first Green Jacket, the American superstar breathed a sigh of what seemed like relief, as all his hard work paid off i the end.

“Growing up, everyone dreamed of winning The Masters, and that’s because of the history and how special the tournament is to all the players and to golf around the world,” said Reed, whose incredible feat followed the debut of Hublot’s Big Bang Unico Golf. The timepiece is inspired by the great game of golf and its players, with its newest edition displaying the number of strokes taken and a counter for the strokes per hole.
