Already available as Striking Time, which chimes the hours and quarters, and as a Minute Repeater, it is now joined by a Decimal Strike.

The latest edition of Baselworld confirmed the obvious: two-tone is dead! Where generally at least a few brand carry the steel-gold variety, now there were no prominent watches offered in this combination. The exception to this rule is, however, Rolex, who introduced the Sky-Dweller not only in steel but also in steel-gold.

Will people ever grow bored of tourbillons? Probably not, as they are still the preferred complication of many collectors. However, it is not only the complication itself that keeps the attention, but it is also the seemingly never-ending creativity of the watch brands who continue to dream up enticing new versions of it.

It might raise a few eyebrows: using the words "Chanel" and "Watch Connoisseurs" in the same sentence. Yet the Monsieur de Chanel seems to have everything worthy of a watch connoisseur's attention.

The time that quartz movements where the staple in women's watches is slowly passing. Over the last couple of years, the demand for mechanical ladies watches has grown significantly. With mechanical watches on the rise, also comes more interest in the more complicated movements.

If there is one place to scope out new trends in watches, it is Baselworld! Sometimes you see a specific complication emerge with different brands at the same time. At other times cases or movement designs seem to follow a similar trend. This year there were surprisingly many watches with a blue dial!

One of the highlights of Baselworld this year was the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Tourbillon. It might come as a surprise, but this watch houses the brand's very first multi-axis tourbillon. One thing that Hublot never seem to run out of is creativity, and when you combine that with having a completely vertically integrated manufacture at your fingertips amazing things can happen.

In the world of Panerai, all watches are bold, but some are bolder than others. The Luminor Submersible has always been part of that last category and achieved this not always by sheer size, but more so by its imposing design. Panerai recently introduced six new models in this collection. Time for us to take a closer look at the recruits of the new draft!

When Bell & Ross renewed their partnership with Renault's Formula 1 team, they also developed a new collection of three chronographs. They took their inspiration from Renaults latest Formula 1 car, the RS17, which was recently revealed in London and was first put to action in the Melbourne Grand Prix.
