Piaget Launches Limelight Gala With Automatic Movement

With their Limelight Gala collection does Piaget offer elegant watches to modern-day women. With a unique, asymmetrical design, inspired by the brand’s creations of the 1960s, they have placed the watches above fashion, making it seamlessly fit in with many styles and occasions. While Piaget offers this watch in a wide variety of different versions, one thing was always the same; its movement. While a quartz movement provides a certain convenience, many women do prefer a mechanical movement. That is why Piaget is now offering the Limelight Gala, also with their manufacture caliber 501P.

This automatic caliber is an evolution of Piaget 530P. While it is not record-breaking thin as other movements from Piaget, it is with a height of only 3.6mm slender enough to be fitted in an elegant ladies, watch like the Limelight Gala. There it can be admired through the sapphire caseback, where the subtle decorations like circular Côtes de Genève and beveled bridges with blued screws can be admired. This also makes the 32mm Limelight Gala models fitted with this movement quite different in perception than their quartz-siblings, as nother significant aspect of Piaget’s heritage is now added to the mix: a superb manufacture movement.

Piaget is launching the 32mm automatic Limelight Gala in five different models. Two of them feature stunning gold Milanese mesh bracelets, which are entirely made by hand in the Piaget Manufacture in Geneva, Switzerland. They look and feel precious, but are at the same time so supple that they seamlessly follow the shape of the wrist. A setting of brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel underscores the precious nature of these watches. For those who prefer a strap, Piaget also offers these models in white and rose gold on an alligator strap instead of a gold Milanese mesh bracelet. The last version that will join this new collection is also the most precious. With a dial featuring a snow-setting of brilliant-cut diamonds, is this Limelight Gala an instant eyecatcher.
