Hublot Goes Camouflage In Collaboration With Fashion Super Star Yohji Yamamoto

Hublot is no stranger to donning its watches in camouflage. In 2009 they used these distinct patterns on the Big Bang Commando, and the second collaboration with Italia Independent gave a new and innovative twist to camouflage. More recently, we also saw the exquisite Big Bang Unico Sorai, which was dedicated to raising funds to protect the rhino, highlighting this pattern. With the Big Bang Camo Yohji Yamamoto is Hublot releasing its second collaboration with one of Japanese most iconic fashion designers, and for him, camouflage has a significant meaning.

While Piaget offers this watch in a wide variety of different versions, one thing was always the same; its movement. While a quartz movement provides a certain convenience, many women do prefer a mechanical movement. That is why Piaget is now offering the Limelight Gala, also with their manufacture caliber 501P.

Roger Dubuis And Kaz Shirane Join Forces For Stunning Excalibur Superbia

Roger Dubuis is a brand that loves a challenge, wither it be technical or aesthetically of nature. For the new Excalibur Superbia, the brand joined forces with internationally renowned Japanese artist and architect Kaz Shirane and created a gemstone setting unlike any seen before. Six hundred diamonds and blue sapphires, with a total of 11 carats, decorate the case. However, they do not feature a baguette or brilliant-cut, but a tetrahedron cut instead. This triangular form is incredibly complex to cut and represents the diamond's basic atomic building blocks' shape.

Richard Mille Takes A Leap Into The Future With The New RM 72-01 Lifestyle In-House Chronograph

An important moment in the history of Richard Mille, as with the RM 72-01 Lifestyle In-House Chronograph, they launch the brands' first chronograph with it made entirely in its workshops in the Swiss town of Les Breuleux. It is a technical masterpiece that comes with quite a few novel features. While it does feature a traditional column wheel, it lacks a vertical clutch. Instead, it uses two oscillating pinions to transfer power to the chronograph. This comes with considerable advantages. One of them is that even when the chronograph runs, it has hardly a negative effect on the overall power reserve. Secondly, does this construction also require much less space. The height of the RM 72-01 Lifestyle In-House Chronograph can, therefore, be kept under 12mm, at a very impressive 11.68mm.

Few brands are thriving like Grand Seiko. Not only is the brand capturing more and more hearts of watch enthusiasts around the world and expanding their collection with innovative new models, but they also opened a new flagship boutique at Place Vendome in the middle of Paris. Their technical prowess is significant, but only rarely expressed in the field of high complications. Under the Credor brand, Grand Seiko released in the past a Grand Sonnerie, Minute Repeater, and a tourbillon, but those were all very limited in production. As the reputation of Grand Seiko is growing, so is the demand for higher-end pieces. With the new T0 Constant-force Tourbillon, Grand Seiko is making a promise to that.

The movement itself measures only 3.5mm, yet it still sports a superb finish on all levels and is even fitted with a column-wheel and vertical clutch. Because of the advanced skeletonization of the movement, all these parts can be admired in full.
