In light of the recent global outbreak of COVID-19, Watches of Switzerland, like all other non-essential retailers, has announced the closing of stores throughout the United States and UK. While the future still remains uncertain, the company expects stores to stay closed until April 27th.

During this time, the esteemed watch retailer will be shifting its retail to servicing customers online, with new online concierge services, as well as the ability to place orders and deliveries. Just as guests experience top-tier service in-store at their boutiques around the world, customers will still be able to take part in this— just in a new virtual manner.

The watch retailer, which also owns all MAYORS stores in the U.S., carries the world’s most coveted brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, TAG Heuer, Hublot, IWC, Omega, Vacheron Constantin, Grand Seiko, Panerai, Zenith, Ulysse Nardin, amongst many others.

While companies all over the world are taking huge hits as the economy worsens and the stock market plunges, Watches of Switzerland is looking toward an optimistic future with all things considered, as they have actually reported an increase of sales revenue up to 16.8-percent as opposed to the prior year. They are expecting total revenues for the year to range between £809 million and £812 million, according to WatchPro.

With a strong customer base and the consistent purchasing patterns throughout this time, Watches of Switzerland is expected to successfully adapt to the retail closures during this time to much success, all things considered. Shifting its full business to a powerful digital retail structure will allow the brand to continue servicing their clients without any interruptions in the coming weeks.
