The Nature of Precision: All of Grand Seiko’s Watches and Wonders 2026 Novelties
Within Grand Seiko’s Watches and Wonders 2026 debutants, a fierce new standard of mechanical ambition provides rhythm to the poetry of renowned Japanese landscapes.

This year, the manufacture weaves engrossing tapestries like “Sakura-Wakaba” and “Iwao Blue” into watches that push the very boundaries of chronometry.
Many of these novelties will be available at Grand Seiko boutiques and select retail partners worldwide from June 2026.

SLGB023 and SLGB025 “Ushio 300 Diver”
At 40.8mm, the Ushio 300 Diver holds the distinction of being Grand Seiko’s smallest diver’s watch. This timepiece is powered by the 9RB1, a pared-down movement based on 2025’s Ultra-Fine Accuracy (UFA) Spring Drive Caliber 9RB2, which guarantees an impressive annual accuracy of ±20 seconds or less. Like its predecessor, the 9RB1 is hand-assembled at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Nagano Prefecture.

The watch is encased in High-Intensity Titanium—a lightweight, lustrous proprietary alloy—and is available in two iterations: the SLGB023 (blue dial) and the SLGB025 (green dial).

Both models feature diamond-cut markers coated in Lumibrite for optimal visibility. The matching High-Intensity Titanium bracelet is designed for versatility, featuring an adjustable clasp that easily accommodates both the bare wrist and a wetsuit.

This duo is priced at US$12,400 each.

SBGZ011 “The Tateshina Waterfall”
Inspired by the Tateshina Waterfall of Shinshu, the SBGZ011 is housed in an intricately engraved 44GS case, finished with a masterful blend of Zaratsu polishing and brushing.
The hand-finished dial is complemented by 14k white gold diamond-cut markers and hands. For enhanced legibility, the minute and tempered gray seconds hands are subtly curved, while the branding and minute indices are carved directly into the dial.

The SBGZ011 is powered by the manual-winding Spring Drive Caliber 9R02. At only 4.0mm thick, it remains the manufacture’s thinnest Spring Drive movement to date. This caliber—accurate to ±15 seconds per month with an 84-hour power reserve—utilizes Grand Seiko’s proprietary Torque Return System. By employing twin barrels within a single housing, this system captures excess energy at the springs’ overcoil point and channels it back to rewind the mainspring, maximizing efficiency.

The movement’s beauty is visible through a transparent caseback, showcasing straight-grained bridges and hand-polished edges. The barrel is openworked with a bellflower motif—the floral symbol of the Shinshu region—and includes an 18k gold plaque below that can be customized.

Limited to 50 examples and priced at US$84,000, the SBGZ011 comes with a glazed crocodile leather strap and a Kyoto leather strap featuring metallic accents, Nishijin weaving, and gold leaf application.

SBGH376 “Sakura-Wakaba”
Named after the fleeting moment when fresh green leaves (wakaba) emerge alongside late-season cherry blossoms (sakura), the SBGH376 is a standout of Grand Seiko’s spring 2026 releases. This 38mm timepiece marks a significant milestone as the first non-limited 62GS model to be crafted in 18k yellow gold. Its dial utilizes the Japanese principle of mitate—using color and texture to interpret a scene rather than depicting it literally—resulting in a shimmering silvery-green finish that captures the essence of this “Hazakura” season.
The bezel-free case construction, a hallmark of the 1967 62GS, allows light to flood the dial from all angles. Behind this radiant face beats the Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85, which operates at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. Assembled at the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, it maintains an impressive accuracy of +5/-3 seconds per day and provides a 55-hour power reserve. Secured by a classic brown crocodile leather strap with a matching 18k yellow gold pin buckle, it is priced at US$32,800.

SLGB006 “Ice Forest at Dawn”
Pairing a 37mm Evolution 9 case in 18k yellow gold with a mesmerizing black “Ice Forest” dial, the SLGB006 is a masterclass in light and shadow.

The dial features gold flecks that mimic the “sun pillar” phenomenon—an optical illusion caused by sunlight reflecting off ice crystals in the freezing air of the Suwa region. This model is powered by 2025’s headline-stealing Spring Drive Caliber 9RB2.

As mentioned, this UFA caliber offers a staggering annual accuracy rate of ±20 seconds. The movement’s bridge, visible through the sapphire caseback, is finished with a texture inspired by the frost-covered trees of Shinshu. Limited to just 80 pieces worldwide, this collector’s item retails for US$43,600.

SBGX365 and SBGX363 “Hana-Ikada”
The 32.3mm stainless steel Hana-Ikada models are driven by the 9F51 quartz caliber, Grand Seiko’s most compact high-precision quartz movement. Hand-assembled at the Shinshu Watch Studio, it boasts an accuracy of ±10 seconds per year. The “Hana-Ikada” (flower raft) theme celebrates the poetic sight of cherry blossom petals drifting across water.

The SBGX363 features a pale pink dial with a delicate molded pattern evoking petals floating on a sunlit river, while the SBGX365 brandishes a deep blue dial that depicts the same scene under the serenity of moonlight.
Both models utilize the bezel-free 62GS case design, offering a seamless and elegant profile. They are priced at US$3,600 each.

SBGY043 “Iwao Blue”
The SBGY043 is a refined addition to the Elegance Collection, featuring a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a notably slim profile of only 10.2mm. Its “Iwao” (rock formation) dial pattern is inspired by the rugged crags of the Shizukuishi mountains at dusk. The dial is dyed in Katsuiro, a deep indigo hue historically favored by the samurai class to symbolize victory.

Within the case is the manual-winding Spring Drive Caliber 9R31, which employs a Dual Spring Barrel to deliver a 72-hour power reserve and an accuracy of ±1 second per day. To maintain the dial’s clean aesthetic, the power reserve indicator is located on the back of the movement. This model is paired with a graceful nine-row stainless steel bracelet and is priced at US$9,800.

SBGD228 “Red Lion”
Limited to just eight pieces, the SBGD228 “Red Lion” is the pinnacle of the Masterpiece Collection. Its 44.5mm 18k rose gold case is dramatically set with 267 diamonds and 26 Mozambique garnets, the latter serving as hour markers. The center of the dial is crafted from wine-red mother-of-pearl, creating a depth and iridescence that symbolizes the strength of the Grand Seiko lion.

The watch is powered by the Caliber 9R01, a manual-winding Spring Drive movement from the elite Micro Artist Studio. By linking three barrels in sequence, it achieves a massive 192-hour (8-day) power reserve with an accuracy of ±0.5 seconds per day. The movement bridge is artistically carved to follow the silhouette of Mt. Fuji, visible through the caseback. This haute joaillerie rarity is priced at US$273,000.
