If there is one brand that has seawater running through its veins, it is Panerai. Throughout its history, the world's oceans where its playground, and even today this strong connection continues. For some years now, Panerai has put its money where its mouth is and sponsored the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge. Here the world's oceangoing heritage, consisting of some of the most beautiful yachts ever conceived, still battle it out for the highest honor in challenging regattas.

For us, it is the time to have our last appointments and do the final photoshoots, and once again we were delighted by what we got to see!

There is a certain irony to it, but when you say Panerai, the first watch that comes to mind with most people is the basic Luminor. While it sits on the lower tiers of Panerai's collection, regarding complexity and price, it is a watch that remains very close to the original DNA of the brand. During this years SIHH, Panerai introduced a six new versions of the Luminor Logo, all powered by a new manufacture caliber.

During the course of the year, the tide turned, and many brands enjoyed, once more, increased sales. This was in part due to some incredible new models that were introduced, which worked up an appetite with watch collectors and connoisseurs. Among other complications, the power reserve indicator always seems to be a bit dull. You do not have the continuous motion of a tourbillon, the playfulness of a chronograph, or the imposing look of a big date. However, many watch connoisseurs have a secret, or not so secret, crush on this complication.
