Panerai’s Exclusive Experiences Offer New Perks To Buying Watches

It’s one thing to say you make robust watches; it’s quite another to challenge your clients to put them to the test. Panerai essentially put their money where their mouth is at SIHH this year by offering unique adventures as a perk to buying three of their new limited-edition Submersible models. Will the new Submersible models stand up to Panerai’s exclusive experiences?

Panerai Submersible Chrono “Guillaume Néry” (PAM00983)

Free-Dive with Guillaume Néry

Want to free-dive with a world champion free-diver and record holder? For 15 lucky owners of the new Limited Edition Submersible Chrono “Guillaume Néry” (PAM00983), Panerai will make that happen—in spectacular Moorea, French Polynesia, no less. The PAM00983 is certainly fit to plunge deep into the ocean on a free-dive experience with Guillaume Néry with its 47 mm black DLC titanium case, 300-meter water resistance, and black rubber strap. The blue/green gradient dial inspired by the color of the waters surrounding Moorea is a great touch, while the case back has an engraving of the island along with Guillaume Néry’s signature and silhouette.

Panerai Submersible “Mike Horn” PAM00985

Arctic Expedition with Mike Horn

If an expedition among the ice floe of the Arctic with a legendary adventurer (and 17-year Panerai ambassador) is more for you, then Panerai will arrange that for 19 buyers of the Limited Edition Submersible “Mike Horn” (PAM00985). As one of the greatest living explorers of our planet, it is no surprise that Mike Horn is also a passionate environmentalist. So in an effort to take a more sustainable approach to watchmaking, Panerai built the 47 mm case, bezel, caseback, and crown guard of the PAM00985 in EcoTitanium—a material sourced from recycled titanium. Similarly, the lightweight and resistant black strap is fashioned from recycled PET and the watch packaging is made from recycled materials.

Panerai Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech PAM00961

Train with COMSUBIN

Panerai is also offering 33 Paneristis the chance to relive the days when the company was an official supplier of dive watches for the commandos of the Royal Italian Navy. Acquiring the Limited Edition Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech (PAM00961) is also a ticket to a training session with COMSUBIN, the Diving and Commando Group of the Italian Navy. No word yet if the watches will be accepted as part of the training day uniform but if they were, the PAM00961 could most definitely handle it—it even has “Survival Instrument” engraved on the caseback. The camouflage-like finish of the 47 mm Carbotech (a super tough yet ultra-light carbon fiber composite) case, the camo dial, and the army green colored strap serve to further highlight the military inspiration.
