Purple is making its mark this season, becoming a dominating color trend in the watch industry. Purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, and ambition, synonymous with the high watchmaking reputation. Case in point: TAG Heuer has just released a limited-edition TAG Heuer Monaco with a purple dial.

Loyal fans of the TAG Heuer Monaco may recognize the similarities between this new 2022 rendition and the 1969 Heuer Monaco reference 1113B and the 1533 caliber 15. Throughout time, the dials have shifted from shades of blue to a dégradé purple color.

Limited to just 500 uniquely numbered pieces engraved on the caseback, the new TAG Heuer Monaco Purple Dial Limited Edition combines its heritage with modern, distinctive finishes. Rich in color, the striking new dial features a gradient that seamlessly blends light purple to darker purple, adding depth and sophistication to the timepiece. Complementing the purple dial are the hands and indexes that are finished with white Super- LumiNova® and the two black opalin sub-counters. Housed within the new timepiece is the brand’s in-house chronograph movement, Caliber Heuer 02, which is visible through the caseback. Finally, the watch is completed with a black alligator strap lined in purple on the inside.
