“Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson turns to another mystifying character with a lead role in dark thriller “Cosmopolis." Throughout the film the actor dons a shiny Chanel J12 Chromatic on his wrist.
The Chanel timepiece is a landmark in horology, built with highly scratch-resistant titanium ceramic. The blending of these materials is followed by polishing with diamond powder, resulting in an extraordinary shade of luminous silver. The dial has a vertical satin finish in the center, circular guilloché at the edges and rhodium-plated numerals and hands. It could endure up to 200 meters of water with hardness close to sapphire.
“Cosmopolis,” based on Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel, follows the interesting events between young multi-billionaire Eric Packard and his luxurious but dangerous trip to Manhattan. It is directed by David Cronenberg and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25.
