MB&F Releases Legacy Machine 101
Perhaps the biggest news of the week comes from independent brand MB&F, who released its first entirely in-house movement inside the new LM101. It’s also the smallest, and more surprisingly, the most affordable Legacy Machine yet. Once again, MB&F gets a bit of help from close friends, as award-winning watchmaker Kari Voutilainen designed the curved plates and bridges apparent through the back crystal. Jaeger-LeCoultre Updates AMVOX2 Transponder
The Swiss brand released the AMVOX2 Transponder, a mechanical chronograph that locks and unlocks “any Aston Matin car,” via a wireless transponder. Glashütte Original Releases the Senator Manual Winding Skeletonized Edition
Glashütte released the Senator Manual Winding Skeletonized Edition this week. This elegant two-hand model comes in a 44mm red gold case, which features the in-house Calibre 49-18 manual winding movement. The galvanized silver, skeletonized dial is decoratively enhanced by a black railroad minute ring and finely drawn Roman numerals. Delicate blued hour and minute hands indicate the time of day. Zenith Gets a New Boss
Zenith announced the appointment of Aldo Magada as its new CEO, following Jean-Frédéric Dufour’s departure to Rolex. Breguet Dedicates Clock to the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
