Pershing, based out of Mondolfo, Italy, has been the leader in the development of Generation X yacht models that integrate design, technology, performance and the use of ultra-light materials like carbon fiber.

Designed by Fulvio De Simoni, the Pershing 7X has a smooth and sleek shape that features new architectural innovation.  Improving the sailing versatility, the yacht introduces an integrated navigation and control interface, steer-by-wire controls and the latest generation automation on its propulsion systems.

The yacht is 21.4 meters (approximately 70 feet) long. The beam is 5.32 meters (approximately 17 feet).

The navigation marvel comes from the partnership between the Fulvio De Simoni design studio, the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee led by engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Group’s Engineering Department.

The furnishings, furniture materials, alloys, and the installation of lithium batter instead of traditional ones accompany the ship’s carbon fiber material to reduce the overall weight. The Pershing 7X has a displacement of 35 tonnes, a much lower consumption when compared to previous models that produce similar speeds.

The exterior is as sporty and sleek as previous models, yet it has a new aesthetic innovation: The air vents are contained in two openings in the body of the hull which widen into two side muscles. These are located on the two exterior bulwarks, at the point where the side wings sit.

Alusilver is a new color for the 7X’s hull and superstructure. It is custom-made in a variance of grey, similar to well-known metals. The new matt black color is featured on the navigation instrumentation, air vents, and aft moldings.

Exterior

The roomy, aft central garage can fit a Williams 345 Sportjet tender. The sun deck easily accommodates up to four people, and the forward area has a large seat. The cockpit has an L-shaped sofa with table. Units on the side have a sink, with the option to request a grill and ice maker or refrigerator.

The forward area has a chaise longue. The outside areas are easily traveled between by the wide side gangways. The entire exterior can be covered by sun canopies.

Interior

The main deck’s 360-degree view of the sea is a highlight in the ship, thanks to its side windows and glass roof. The retractable glass door that leads to the lounge keeps the flow of the views going. The dining table seats up to eight, and it is joined by a large L-shaped sofa in the lounge area, complete with a cabinet with retractable TV.

The kitchen gets natural light from the skylight. Likewise for the cabins, through new portholes that can be fully opened inwards.

The two helm seats are made of Poltrona Frau “Interior in Motion” leather. The dashboard has two 19-inch monitors on the carbon fiber control panels. For enhanced visibility, the widescreen has no pillars. To the side of the driver’s seat are two tunnels with levers and joysticks.

The three cabins within the Pershing 7X have ensuite bathrooms with separate shower.

The main material found on the décor is a light-colored striped walnut. While in the lounge, lead-colored Dedar fabrics on the sofa and chaise lounge match those at the helm station seats. Pellini Nautica curtains lighten the darker tones found on other fabrics throughout the interior. Armani Casa bedspreads and Casamance cushion add to the luxury standard of the Pershing 7X.

Power

The Pershing 7X has twin MAN V12 diesel engines, each going up to 1800 mph, and features a Top System P85X surface drive transmission with surface propellers. It goes to a top speed of 50 knots and a maximum cruise speed of 42 knots. Now that’s fast.
