The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Collection Introduces An Ultra-Sophisticated New Model

Jaeger-LeCoultre has long been synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and technical mastery in the world of horology. The latest addition to their esteemed Master Control collection, the Master Control Chronograph Calendar in pink gold with a black dial, adheres to the brand’s tradition of excellence while reinterpreting a sophisticated modern classic.

Introduced nearly thirty years ago, the Master Control collection is named after the Maison’s 1,000-Hour Control Certification, which rigorously tests the movement and the cased-up watch; this collection has set the standard for all Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces. Taking inspiration from the iconic round watches of the 1950s and ’60s, such as the Memovox and Futurematic, the Master Control Chronograph Calendar exhibits a refined and contemporary aesthetic with a sleek black dial, paying homage to the colored watch dials of the mid-20th century through a contemporary lens.

The dial is also illuminated with a pulsometric scale, marked in red,  framing the dial, adding a touch of tradition and functionality. The layout of the dial, showcasing a complete calendar and a bi-compax chronograph, is intuitive and high legible — despite the complexity of the complications.

The attention to detail extends to the sub-dials, adorned with a finely textured ‘azurage’ finish, and the rich blue moon-phase indicator. These elements strategically contrast with the vibrant black sunray-brushed dial, creating a captivating play of light as the watch moves with the wearer’s wrist. With its 40-millimeter diameter, outwardly sloping bezel, and elegantly curved lugs, the pink gold case of the Master Control Chronograph Calendar exudes a relaxed and understated elegance — completed with a black alligator leather strap.

Powering this timepiece is the automatic Caliber 759. This integrated chronograph movement boasts a 65-hour power reserve and features a column-wheel mechanism with a vertical clutch. Coupled with a triple calendar and a moon-phase display, the Master Control Chronograph Calendar showcases the brand’s mechanical elegance.
