Longines, a watch brand deeply rooted in history, has unveiled its latest additions to the iconic Flagship Heritage collection. Three new models, each featuring a moon-phase complication, pay homage to the elegance and simplicity that have made this collection a timeless classic. The steel case, measuring 38.5mm in diameter, showcases a redesigned aesthetic with satin-brushed finishes and shortened chamfered lugs – ultimately proving that slightly smaller diameter watches are continuing to trend.

The Flagship repertoire holds a special place in Longines’ history, dating back to the late 1950s. Inspired by the fleet’s Commander-in-Chief, the collection’s emblem, a caravel on a gold medallion, is embossed on the watch’s screw-down back, symbolizing its connection to the brand’s heritage. The new models proudly boast domed dials inspired by the original 1957 design. Available in silvered opaline, sunray silver, or sunray blue, these dials are accentuated by eleven applied hour markers, available in gilt or silvered finishes. The hour and minute hands, polished in gilt or silvered tones, are coated with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring optimal legibility day and night. To complete the overall aesthetic, the watches are fitted with brown, grey, or blue leather straps, secured with a new Heritage pin buckle.

Powering these timepieces is the L899.5 self-winding mechanical movement, which features a moon-phase complication. The moon-phase indicator rotates on a small dial at 6 o’clock, harmoniously paired with the date indicator hand. The hour markers, as well as the hour, minute, and second hands, are delicately colored to evoke the moon’s hues. The caliber is equipped with a silicon balance-spring, offering resistance to magnetic fields and exceptional precision, boasting an impressive power reserve of up to 72 hours.
