To kick off the New Year, Longines has unveiled quite the golden addition to its iconic Master Collection. The Longines Master Collection gets a 2024 makeover with two limited series of 500 timepieces each, available in 18-karat yellow gold and 18-karat rose gold.

At the heart of these timepieces beats the exclusive Longines L.844.5 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement that features a silicon balance-spring and innovative components, endowing it with a remarkable magnetic resistance, surpassing even the stringent ISO 764 benchmark standard. The timepieces also boast a power reserve of up to an impressive 72 hours.

The Longines Master Collection GMT stands out not only for its technical prowess but also for its refined design. The frosted silver dial boasts an elegant finish, making it a canvas of sophistication. It incorporates a 24-hour scale in Arabic numerals positioned around the dial’s rim, with additional 24-hour markings at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock to facilitate reading of the second time zone. The minutes are marked with a precise railroad minute track, and the eleven applied gold hour markers feature Roman numerals. A subtle date aperture graces the 6 o’clock position, and the hours, minutes, and seconds are indicated by elegant gold hands. The GMT hand, specially accentuated in black, harmonizes with the 24-hour scale numerals, ensuring that the second time zone is easily discernible. This attention to detail reflects Longines’ commitment to both form and function.

To complete the timepiece, Longines has chosen ultra-soft anthracite-grey leather straps, which have undergone a special “soft-touch” vegetable tanning process. The straps are adorned with tongue buckles crafted in either yellow gold or rose gold, adding the final touch of sophistication to these exclusive GMT models.
