It is not everyday you get to spend time with one of the most powerful figures in the watch world. Yesterday, Chopard opened their state-of-the-art service center in Coral Gables, Florida.
Exclusive photos and video of Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele's limited edition Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Titanium...
On that occasion, Haute Time got an inside look at this amazing new US service center, which will allow Chopard to offer a 10 day turnaround time for watches, which is unheard of in the industry. That quick turnaround is achieved by the fact that US-based Chopard watch owners no longer have to send their pieces all the way to Switzerland, thereby speeding up the timeline to less then two weeks.
Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, the Co-President of Chopard, gave us a tour and discussed the new service center with Haute Time. Karl-Friedrich is in charge of the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier, Switzerland, as well as the Chopard men’s division and all business management aspects. Together with his younger sister Caroline Scheufele he runs Chopard out of Switzerland.
Before I started our interview I had to ask Mr. Scheufele about the watch he was wearing, as it was obviously from the L.U.C collection. Karl-Friedrich was wearing the Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Titanium. I got the chance to hold this limited edition watch, and felt how light it was. As for Karl-Friedrich, when discussing the Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Titanium, it was like he was introducing his newborn baby!
Mr. Scheufele is a true collector – art, cars, watches, and more. When I asked him what his favorite piece in his watch collection was, he said he couldn’t answer that question. He said it would be like picking a favorite child!
I was very impressed with the Chopard L.U.C collection in Basel, and one of my favorite pieces was the L.U.C Engine One H. Playing with Karl-Friedrich’s Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Titanium, I also became a fan of that piece. The L.U.C Tourbillon Titanium really demonstrated to me the passion Mr. Scheufele has in the brand, and his desire to make Chopard one of the best.
