The Short Answer

MB&F introduces a new edition of the MB&F Legacy Machine 101 in platinum that bares the piece's striking structural trademarks along with a brilliant blue dial.

Only two short years after its release, the LM101 has become a runaway critical and commercial success for independent watchmaker MB&F. After releasing two Legacy Machine 101 “Frost” limited edition watches in both yellow and red gold in 2015, the brand revisits the LM101 with an exclusive platinum edition that bares the piece’s striking structural trademarks along with a brilliant blue dial.

Like the other LM101 pieces, the platinum edition is dominated by the monumental suspended balance wheel and two white subdials, one which displays hours and minutes and the other which displays the 45 hour power reserve indicator.

Another highlight of the piece is the domed sapphire crystal protecting the dial, which appears invisible to the eye, making the piece’s balance wheel feel nearly tangible to the wearer.

Ticking inside and crafted in polished and satin-finished platinum 950 is the LM101 calibre, a movement crafted entirely in-house by MB&F.

The MB&F Legacy Machine 101 In Platinum is available in a limited edition of 33 pieces.
