Surprised that you missed a Hublot in our line-up of our favorite new watches of 2017? Well, it is not that we didn’t have any, it was more the case that we had too many! Many brands only focus on the big watch fairs early in the year to release their novelties, but for Hublot, innovation is a constant factor, so they do it throughout the year. 2017 was once more an exceptional year for Hublot, so after a long debate, these are our favorites!

Hublot Ferrari 70th anniversary

To celebrate the 70th anniversary its partner, Ferrari, Hublot introduced the Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph. In close collaboration, this watch was designed by the Ferrari Design Centre and crafted by Hublot. The result is an exceptional watch, which not only combines a flying tourbillon with a monopusher chronograph but also set a new benchmark for successful car & watchmaker collaborations!

Hublot Big Bang Perpetual Calendar Sapphire

This year Hublot also introduced the Unico Perpetual Calendar in a sapphire case. This simply gives us more angles to admire the beautiful movement, which also features a chronograph function. Despite being very modern in appearance, it does have a certain classic charm to it, as Hublot maintained the traditional layout of the subdials for this watch, as well as gave it a beautiful moon phase disc.

Hublot is known for doing a lot of limited editions, and with each one of them, they proof that nobody does it better. They really go the extra mile to make a limited edition something special, such as was also the case with the Classic Fusion Fuente 20th Anniversary Special Edition. Dedicated to one of the rarest and exquisite cigars out there, the Fuente Fuente Opus X, it features not only a unique dial, but also a case with very elaborated engravings.

Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis

In 2017 Hublot also continues their exceptional “Manufacture Piece” collection with the MP-09. This watch is actually the very first multi-axis tourbillon of the brand. They highlighted this complication by crafting an exceptional case, which is fitted with an equally exceptional sapphire crystal, which curves around the wrist and gives the tourbillon center stage. The date is also curved, in two rows, around the dial for the hour and minutes, providing the MP-09 with yet another unique feature.

Hublot Unico GMT

This year Hublot also didn’t forget that many of its clients are indeed world travelers, as they released the Big Bang Unico GMT. Crafted from either titanium or carbon fiber, owners can change the timezone with a simple push of the button. Legibility is key with this watch, yet its aesthetics didn’t suffer because of it. Through the dial, or actually lack of it, you get a glimpse of the innovative mechanism that makes the Big Bang Unico GMT easy to use and such a great travel companion. No wonder that this Hublot was also one of the pre-selected watches of this years GPHG
