Hublot Ferrari 70

Welcome the Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph – a watch designed by Ferrari and executed by Hublot.

Presented at Baselworld 2017, the new piece mark’s the Italian car manufacturer’s 70th anniversary by copying much of its iconic DNA.

The Techframe Ferrari 70 years Tourbillon Chronograph started out in Maranello, Italy, where Ferrari’s Head of Design Flavio Manzoni built a sound and agile “chassis” around Hublot’s “engine,” the watch’s HUB6311 movement.

Boasting a unique lattice structure, the watch features a sapphire dial with the Ferrari logo at 9 o’clock and the Hublot’s monogram at 5 o’clock. Mounted on top of it is a matte black block that hold a race-inspired twin half-second counter at 3 o’clock, the minutes counter opposite it and the column wheel at 1 o’clock.

A crown at 4 o’clock raises with the famed Prancing Horse of Ferrari and contributes to the piece’s aerodynamics. Meanwhile, a strategically placed red push-button makes for an overall ergonomic design.

“The styling of the Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph underlines the performances of the watch and no component is there by chance,” said Manzoni.

Known for its innovative watchmaking, Hublot elevated Ferrari’s aesthetics with its technical expertise and fine craftsmanship. The result is a modular case with a skeleton middle, container and back cover that quotes a Ferrari car. Inside of it revs a new manual calibre, which holds a power reserve of up to five days.

The chronograph is the best of its class, flaunting a single button for the start-stop-reset functions and an original lever in Ferrari red anodized aluminum. The tourbillon does not fall behind, either. Visible on the dial, it combines the sensitivities of a flying tourbillon and the stability of a two-point tourbillon thanks to a sapphire crystal ingeniously placed above the cage.

Available in king gold, titanium and PEEK carbon (a highly durable and reliable material), the timepiece comes with a smooth black rubber strap that can be easily disjoined by two lateral push-buttons in Ferrari red.

Ushering in a new chapter in the partnership between Hublot and Ferrari, all three versions of the Techframe Ferrari are limited to 70 collector pieces.
