Haute Time Watch of the Day: Van Cleef & Arpels – The Lady Arpels Poetic Wish

Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is The Lady Arpels Poetic Wish Watch, launched by the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels this year. This amazing creation comes from the Poetic Complications collection and is a perfect marriage of creativity, innovation, craftmanship and of course poetry.

Each of the Poetic Complications pieces created are genuine marvels that tell a story. In the Lady Arpels Poetic Wish timepiece, we see an amazing enamel dial showing a view of Paris through the eyes of a little girl standing on the terrace of the Eiffel Tower.

The story continues to be told when the pusher triggers a 5-minute repeater telling the time with a series of gongs reminiscent of Notre-Dame’s Cathedral bells, also shown on the dial. Once the scene is activated, the girl moves to the dial center and a kite appears and carries the girls wish – a truly poetic creation by Van Cleef & Arpels.

This beautiful timepiece is white gold with a case measuring 39 mm. The watch bezel is fully encrusted in brilliant VVS clarity diamonds and shown here with a pearl grey moiré silk and calfskin strap.
