Girard-Perregaux Presents Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition

Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin present the third embodiment of their partnership with the announcement of the Laureato Absolute Chronograph AM F1 Edition.

This limited-edition timepiece has been highly anticipated since Girard-Perregaux was announced as the official watch provider of British performance car manufacturer, Aston Martin, as well as the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team. The two organization have previously collaborated to deliver two watches in the past – the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Aston Martin Edition and the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition.

Their latest collaboration collides two worlds, namely, micro-mechanics and the extreme performance of Formula One.

With the F1 world being as highly-competitive as it is, even a fraction of a second can make the difference between failure and success. This means weight, engine power and aerodynamics are of the utmost importance. Luckily, the AMF1 team knows a thing or two about all of that and has brought its incredible understanding of lightweight materials to the world of haute horology.

The Laureato Absolute Chronograph AM F1 Edition has a cutting-edge 44mm case and is composed of a blend of titanium powder and carbon elements taken from two F1 race cars used in the 2021-22 season. This is a first in the watch industry. The high-tech components are brought together and mixed with a tinted resin through a high-tech manufacturing process. This process means that each watch will have its own unique visual identity.

The new Laureato Absolute Chronograph AMF1 is the first example of this collaboration, and a stunning example of the work we can achieve together.”
