Christie's auction house will offer an array of more than 400 top-luxury timepieces at its watch sale in Geneva May 14. The auction will feature watches totally up with $17.5 million, including some of the finest antique, vintage and modern watches in the world.

Christie’s auction house will offer an array of more than 400 top-luxury timepieces at its watch sale in Geneva May 14.

The auction will feature watches totally up with $17.5 million, including some of the finest antique, vintage and modern watches in the world.

Some of the most important pieces available will be the rare gold two crown world time Patek Philippe wristwatch with 24-hour indication and cloisonné enamel dial depicting the map of North America, reference 2523, manufactured in 1955 and estimated at up to about $2.8 million and two most important antique watches by Breguet seen at auction in a generation, recently-discovered and previously unrecorded publicly. They Breguets originated from a collection belonging to European nobility, created by the hands of Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) himself.

A stunning Patek Philippe pink gold perpetual calendar watch will also be offered. It’s a chronograph wristwatch with moon phases, reference 2499. Also featured will be a rare Rolex stainless steel triple calendar wristwatch with moon phases, reference 8171 (estimated at up to about $325,000).
