IWC uses a patented constant-force mechanism integrated into the tourbillon to guarantee the utmost precision in this model, receiving inspiration from a sports car engine block. The Ingenieur Constant Force Tourbillon features a 46mm platinum and ceramic case housing a Calibre 94800 mechanical and hand-wound movement.
The dial delivers hours and minutes, along with a seconds dial over the tourbillon, power reserve display, a double moon phase for both the northern and southern hemispheres, as well as a countdown display showing phases leading to the next full moon.
