Novak Djokovich and Champions League victors FC Barcelona were among the winners at the 2012 Laureus Sports Awards held this year in London.  Some of the best athletes in the world-selected by a 47-member jury- were honored for their achievements last week.

In celebration of the 2012 Laureus Sports Awards, IWC created a signature watch to benefit the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, of which it is a founding partner and sponsor.  Founded in 2000, the foundation promotes sport as a positive influence in children’s lives as well as supporting numerous projects around the world.

This year, the winner of a design contest from the foundation, seven-year-old, Kumara Wadu Parami Apsara from Sri Lanka, designed the back engravings for the watch.  The design depicts four girls dancing, reading and playing in a grassy field.

In honor of the foundation, part of the proceeds from the limited edition watch will go to the foundation and the 90 programs it supports.
