Watch Week Aspen has locked in its 2026 program, confirming how quickly the event has grown up. Now in its third year, the destination gathering returns to downtown Aspen from August 13 to 16, and this year’s schedule leans harder into the two things that set it apart: real watch substance and the mountain-town lifestyle around it.

The Haute Minute

Watch Week Aspen has revealed its 2026 schedule (Aug 13–16): a Blancpain welcome party, global product debuts, and more.

Three events anchor the weekend. The Golden Hour Welcome Party, presented by Blancpain and Betteridge, serves as the signature kickoff, bringing together brands, collectors, and media. Saturday’s Watch Week Forum gathers brand executives and industry leaders for a speaker series on craftsmanship and the state of collecting, while an invitation-only VIP Collector’s Dinner closes the evening as the weekend’s most exclusive gathering.

For collectors, the real draw is what’s being shown. Glashütte Original and the historic French maison L. Leroy will each stage global first product reveals in Aspen — debuts, not merely showcases, which marks a real step up for a young event. A. Lange & Söhne will present a viewing of its Lumen collection, the semi-transparent, glow-in-the-dark dials that rank among the most technically involved pieces the Glashütte house makes. Omega will hold Speedmaster presentations, and Hermès will run sessions guided by one of its own artisan watchmakers.

There is serious independent watchmaking on the schedule, too. Moritz Grossmann founder and CEO Christine Hutter — one of the few women to have built a high-watchmaking house from the ground up — will sit for a conversation about that path, a rare chance to hear directly from a maker running her own manufacture in Glashütte.

The rest plays to Aspen’s strengths. Norqain is hosting a 3K run and Gerald Charles a tennis and pickleball event, the kind of brand programming that only makes sense in a town built for the outdoors. Espresso bars, sweet treats, and cocktail events will be spread across the city all weekend, in keeping with the event’s decentralized, walkable format: no convention hall, just boutiques, terraces, and restaurants across downtown.

Founded by Aspen’s own Oliver Smith Jeweler and presented with the Aspen Chamber Resort Association, Watch Week Aspen has positioned itself as the summer counterpart to the industry’s spring fairs — smaller, more social, and set against the Rockies. Organizers say more activations, speakers, and details are still to come, with the full, updated schedule at watchweekaspen.com. For anyone plotting a watch-world summer, mid-August now has a clear destination.
