Christophe Claret’s Margot has won the Best Ladies Watch Award at the Salon Internacional Alta Relojeria 2014 during the closing ceremony. The timepiece, the brand’s first complication specifically developed for women, debuted at Baselworld earlier this year.

It features an innovative complication that lets the wearer ‘pick’ the petals off a daisy on the dial. The action is achieved by pressing the pusher at 2 o’clock, at which point a crystalline chime resonates and a petal – sometimes a pair of petals – subtly disappears under the dial in a smooth action. The eagerly-awaited answer appears (in French) in a window at 4 o’clock. The watch is housed in a 42.50mm 5N red gold case set with 423 snow-set diamonds.
