In a bold departure from tradition, Zenith inverts the classic tricolor dial design: the creamy-white backdrop now turns dramatic black while maintaining the signature three grey and blue subdials. This transformation extends to the date wheel at 04:30 and the 1/10th of a second and 10-second chronograph scales.

Retaining the elegant 38mm steel case and vintage charm of the A386, the Chronomaster Original incorporates a 1/10th of a second chronograph. The central red chronograph hand sweeps the dial every 10 seconds, enabling precise fractional time measurements.

The watch’s aesthetic symmetry continues with a bezel-less case, domed crystal, and classic pump-style chronograph pushers. The redesigned steel bracelet now features solid links, blending retro design with contemporary elegance.

The beating heart of this timepiece is the El Primero 3600, a high-frequency movement operating at 5 Hz (36,000 VpH) and offering a true 1/10th of a second indication. With a 60-hour power reserve, the sapphire case back reveals its modern architecture, complete with a blue column wheel and open rotor featuring Zenith’s iconic five-pointed star.

This watch is a testament to Zenith’s enduring commitment to precision and innovation, carrying forward the legacy of the legendary El Primero.
