Tiffany & Co.'s Rope Watch blends solar innovation with luxury craftsmanship in 18k gold, diamonds, and iconic rope motif.

Tiffany & Co. introduces the Rope Watch, a stunning piece that blends innovation, art, and luxury. This latest launch pays homage to Jean Schlumberger, one of the most iconic designers of the 20th century. His influence, drawn from textile inspirations and a flair for whimsy, shapes the essence of this luxurious timepiece.

Inspired by the twisted gold design Schlumberger famously brought to life, the Rope Watch transforms a timeless jewelry motif into a technical marvel. At its heart is Tiffany’s first solar-powered movement. This Swiss-made innovation charges beneath a semi-translucent dial, capable of powering the watch for eight months—even in the absence of sunlight.

The Rope Watch boasts a polished 18k yellow gold case, with two dazzling design options: white mother-of-pearl or deep black dial. Both offer exquisite detailing with a wide bezel, flanked by concentric polished rope circles and a radiant band of brilliant-cut diamonds.

Each size, 27mm or 33mm, features diamonds selected for their brilliance. The 27mm carries 38 diamonds (0.52 carats total), while the 33mm houses 39 diamonds totaling 0.9 carats. Attention to detail extends to the hands, where even the minute hand carries the rope motif—an homage to craftsmanship and continuity in design.

Tiffany’s craftsmanship is also evident on the case-back, which carries an engraved sun logo and a diamond that represents the new solar-powered chapter for the brand. This engraved emblem echoes the innovation behind the timepiece while maintaining an aesthetic harmony with the rest of the watch.

Partnering with Swiss movement powerhouse La Joux-Perret, Tiffany brings precision and sustainability into the spotlight. A full charge outdoors on a sunny day takes just two minutes and offers 24 hours of uninterrupted power. The solar cells discreetly sit under the dial, absorbing light from any environment—bright or cloudy, indoor or outdoor.

Beyond its technical brilliance, the Rope Watch is unmistakably a Tiffany creation. The mother-of-pearl dial version is paired with a signature Tiffany Blue® alligator strap.
