At this year’s Watches and Wonders, the Vacheron Constantin booth did not disappoint. Upon entering, you are immediately immersed in the latest novelties from Vacheron Constantin, which significantly emphasizes the retrograde date. In fact, the brand was the first to release the retrograde date in a wristwatch in 1920.

The Haute Minute

This year at Watches and Wonders, Vacheron Constantin released three new timepieces that are inspired by the retrograde date.

Last week, they debuted three new retrograde dates that embody the different personalities of each: the classic iteration through the Patrimony Retrograde, the sportier model with the Overseas Moon Phase Retrograde Date (which is the first Vacheron Constantin sport watch with a retrograde display), and the more avant-garde piece with the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface.

Each retrograde date adheres to Vacheron Constantin’s unparalleled craftsmanship and design ethos while catapulting the timepieces into a contemporary echelon.

In addition to the three new incredible retrograde date models, the brand also introduced a hero timepiece: the Les Cabinotier Dual Moon Grand Complication, a one-of-a-kind double-sided watch equipped with new manual-winding and 11 horological complications.

One of our other major highlights from the Vacheron Constantin novelties is the new modern size of the  Overseas Self-Winding, measuring 34.5 and 35mm.

Last but certainly not least, Vacheron Constantin released the Traditionnelle Tourbillon, which houses the ultra-thin Caliber 2160/1 with a sophisticated exterior with its sunburst deep green dial and 950 platinum case.
