Little do they know that this A. Lange & Söhne is one of the masterpieces of the collection. While it was previously already available in platinum and pink gold, this year the brand also introduced a white gold version with a black dial. It gives the Richard Lange Jumping Seconds a bit of a different character, perhaps even more understated than the other two models. It is powered by manual wind caliber L094.1, which not only supports the regulator design of the dial but also features the deadbeat seconds, which is the main appeal of this watch.

Chopard L.U.C Quattro
The Chopard L.U.C Quattro is another classically styled watch which packs a punch but doesn’t show it in a very extravert way. Its 43mm white gold case houses a well finished yet sober dial, with date indication and small seconds combined in the lower subdial, while the power reserve indicator takes the position of the twelve. Thanks to two sets of two stacked barrels, what Chopard refers to as their Quattro-technology, does this watch have a power reserve of no less than 216 hours. Chopard paid extra care to the finishing of the movement, which meets the requirements of the Geneva Seal, and next to that is it also Chronometer certified.

The case is crafted to perfection, and the dial has a stunning finish. The movement features Ferrier’s double direct-impulse escapement and is powered, as its name already indicates, by a micro-rotor. The watch breathes an understated kind of luxury, which you experience even more as an owner through small details such as the Alcantara lining of the alligator leather strap.

Breguet Hora Mundi 5727
With the Hora Mundi 5727 does Breguet offer a very understated travel watch. It features all the hallmarks that you have come to expect from the brand, from the engine turned dial to the fluted caseband with welded lugs. Subtlely integrated into its design is the function to show a second timezone, with a city indication at six o’clock and a 24-hour indicator between three and four o’clock, which has some beautiful details. It is the perfect merger between classic style and practical use, while with a diameter of 43mm it has a contemporary size.
