The Short Answer

The UK-based research group Superbrands have named their top companies for the year, with Rolex once again coming out on top. The Swiss manufacture topped the list of Consumer Superbrands, alongside electronics giants Apple and Microsoft. Since 1995, the Superbrands group have polled marketing experts, business professionals and consumers to create the ranking. A so-called "Superbrand" is deemed to have established the finest reputation in its field, offering customers emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers in turn want and recognize.
