The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Collection Introduces Two New Quintessential Summer Models

Parmigiani Fleurier has unveiled the Tonda PF Sport line, adding a touch of sportiness to its iconic Tonda PF collection. Designed with today’s active lifestyles in mind, the new line introduces two models: the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph and the Tonda PF Sport Automatic. The Tonda PF Sport line is the epitome of sport as a leisure activity, ultimately becoming a means of escaping into personal pleasure and the quintessential summer timepiece.

The new models are available in steel or 18-karat pink gold, and both the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph and Tonda PF Sport Automatic feature case sizes of 42mm and 41mm, respectively, making them highly versatile in style. While they maintain the distinctive PF collection aesthetics, the new models exhibit subtle details that emphasize their casual sporty-chic identity, particularly noticeable in the bezel, dial, and strap.

The knurled bezel of the Tonda PF Sport boasts 160 incisions, creating a bold interplay of light and reflection, distinguishing it from the regular Tonda PF collection. The dial showcases a hand-guilloché ‘triangular nail’ pattern, a traditional artisanal technique that enhances the play of light on its surface. The applied hour markers are coated with black SuperLuminova, ensuring excellent legibility. The Chronograph model features a ‘panda’ styling with black sub-dials against a white background, further enhancing readability. The strap is crafted from Cordura-treated rubber, meticulously stitched and seamlessly integrated into the case. Both watches offer a water resistance of up to 100 meters.

True to Parmigiani Fleurier’s aesthetic of “quiet luxury,” the logo and date window on the Tonda PF Sport watches are subtly positioned. The small PF medallion resides at 12 o’clock, while the date window is located at 6 o’clock on the Automatic model and 4:30 on the Chronograph model.

The technical excellence of Parmigiani Fleurier timepieces remains uncompromised in the Tonda PF Sport line. The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph is equipped with Caliber PF070, a COSC-certified manufacture movement with a high frequency of 5Hz and a power reserve of 65 hours. The Tonda PF Sport Automatic features Caliber PF770, another in-house movement with a double barrel providing a power reserve of 60 hours.

Both movements, along with their components, are meticulously crafted in Parmigiani Fleurier’s own ateliers. The sapphire casebacks reveal the exquisite hand-finishing, featuring beveled edges, Côtes de Genève decoration, and the brand’s signature skeletonized winding rotor in 22-carat pink gold.
