The secret is officially out — Omega has just introduced twelve new Aqua Terra timepieces. And while, technically, they can be considered gender natural, the new collection is geared toward the Omega woman.

Since 1902, Omega has been a trailblazer in women’s watchmaking, crafting timepieces that blend artistry and precision. From the iconic Ladymatic and Constellation to the versatile Seamaster, OMEGA has consistently redefined elegance and functionality. Now, 23 years after its debut, the Aqua Terra collection evolves with a groundbreaking 30 mm case, introducing twelve new references powered by innovative movements.

Each of the twelve timepieces is equipped with its own personality. Five stainless steel references feature polished and brushed bracelets, offering timeless versatility. For those seeking luxury, one model is crafted in 18K Sedna™ Gold, while three are presented in 18K Moonshine™ Gold, available either in pure gold or in three two-tone combinations with stainless steel. Vibrant dials, applied hour markers, and a date window at 6 o’clock elevate the aesthetic, while a transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the intricate calibre within.

‘The most beautiful part of the watch is the one you cannot immediately see, our new calibres represent OMEGA’s highest expression of engineering, hidden within yet defining the watch’s essence,” notes Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega.

Designed specifically for the 30 mm case, Omega’s new Master Chronometer movements—Calibre 8750 (3.98 mm thick) for stainless steel and two-tone models, and Calibre 8751 (4.08 mm thick) for Sedna™ and Moonshine™ Gold models—are engineering marvels. Both feature the Co-Axial escapement, a free-sprung balance with a Si14 silicon balance spring, and automatic winding in both directions. Certified by METAS, these movements withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and offer over 48 hours of power reserve, ensuring unmatched reliability and precision.

The collection’s integrated bracelets, available in stainless steel, two-tone, or gold, boast a brushed and polished finish. Omega’s patented screw-and-pin system, paired with a butterfly clasp and 2 mm easy comfort-adjustment, ensures a perfect fit and refined look.

To share the secret, if you will, Omega dropped the My Little Secret campaign, starring six remarkable women in the industry, from fashion and music to cinema and activism. The campaign features model and advocate, reshaping beauty standards, Ashley Graham, rising K-pop star Danielle Marsh, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Tems, Academy Award-winning actress Ariana DeBose, BAFTA-winning actress Marisa Abela, and a fresh new face to modeling, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.

This campaign celebrates the idea that some treasures, like these timepieces, are too beautiful to remain hidden. While I have known Omega has been wanting to show its ladies’ collection more love over the past few years, the new Aqua Terra 30 mm collection definitely came as the perfect ‘shock.’ It’s setting the stage for where Omega’s priorities lie for the remainder of the year, especially in the women’s category, while also introducing a smaller diameter for the brand, which I predict will do very well across both genders.
