Omega Commemorates the Ryder Cup With Seamaster Aqua Terra ‘Captain’s Watch’

To celebrate the 2012 Ryder Cup, Omega has created the Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch,” which will adorn the wrist of American Ryder Cup team captain and Omega brand ambassador Davis Love III. Come September, Omega will debut as the official timekeeper of the Cup.

The Haute Minute

To celebrate the 2012 Ryder Cup, Omega has created the Seamaster Aqua Terra "Captain's Watch," which will adorn the wrist of American Ryder Cup team captain and Omega brand ambassador Davis Love III.

The biannual competition between teams from Europe and the United States is one of the most anticipated golfing events of the year, though it involves no money. That’s right: the top golfers worldwide compete solely for bragging rights.

The Captain’s Watch is characterized by a 41.5-mm stainless steel case, and the caseback features sapphire crystal for an unobstructed view of the movement. Omega’s exclusive Co-Axial Caliber 8500 with a Si14 silicon balance spring powers the piece, which is delivered with a four-year warranty. Brushed outer links and polished center links add dimension to the stainless steel bracelet.

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch” is water resistant to 500 feet.
