Swiss haute horloger Hublot just deepened its ties with the New York Giants.
Amidst the second season the watchmaker is sponsoring and keeping the official time for the football team, it announced its partnership with the Giants’ quarterback and captain, Eli Manning.
“I am proud to join Hublot’s family of greats,” Manning said in a press statement. “Hublot’s motto of being ‘first, different, and unique’ resonates with me.”
The news came at an intimate dinner at the private Metropolitan Club in Manhattan, which gathered former Giants star and friend of the Hublot brand Jesse Palmer, as well as current players Evan Engram, Devon Kennard and Zak DeOssie.
“We were the first luxury watch brand to partner with the New York Giants, which commenced last season with Victor Cruz, and we are excited to reveal Eli Manning as our newest ambassador tonight with the Classic Fusion New York to symbolize the partnership,” said Jean-François Sberro, managing director of Hublot of America.
Unveiled at the event, the Classic Fusion Chronograph New York is a timepiece inspired by Manning. The watch features the Giants’ characteristic blue shade, which radiates from the dial, the case back and the pebbled leather strap.
Limited to a mere 22 pieces, the novel Classic Fusion iteration comes in a commemorative box that reflects the identities of both Hublot and the Giants. It is available for purchase at Hublot’s New York boutiques on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue.
