German watchmaker Glashutte Original celebrated the US launch of “Impressions, the brand’s first manufactory book in a haute presentation to several Los Angeles VIPs at MILK studios. “Impressions” features a multifaceted collection of personal recollections, well-researched professional articles and snapshots of the brand’s uninterrupted history of 170 years, in addition to notes from fans of the brand, including the evening’s special guest, actor Joel McHale.
Guests included a number of high-profile journalists, business partners, and friends of the brand. Additionally, attendees were treated to a special exhibition that featured historical timepieces and various artifacts mentioned in the book. In addition, Glashutte Original’s watchmakers demonstrated “German Watchmaking Art since 1845” live at the MILK studio space.
“It is the people – the engineers, precision mechanics and watchmakers, all the friends, business partners and companions of Glashütte Original – who transform our watches into veritable collector’s items. We wanted to give them a platform. As a result, IMPRESSIONS is not only a portrait of our manufactory, but a tribute to the rich history of the region and the outstanding skills of the people who work and live here. We take a precise and personal approach in everything we do at Glashutte Original and revel in moments when we can celebrate our work and history with our community like we did in Los Angeles during our presentation of Impressions“, said Yann Gamard, CEO of Glashutte Original.
