The celebratory party, hosted Girard-Perregaux, seemed to be shining with a golden theme and Morgan, who was accompanied by family, friends, and Olympic colleagues such as Emily Hughes and Tim Morehouse, took a few minutes to speak to the press of her win and the feeling that everything was finally starting to soak in.
“It was a great honor to represent the United States in these games and bringing the gold medal back home was an amazing feeling”, said Morgan. “I am very appreciative of Girard-Perregaux’s friendship. I love the elegance and attention to detail they apply to every single one of their timepieces and I had a really great time celebrating Fashion’s Night Out and our Olympic achievements at their beautiful boutique.”
Girard-Perregaux, maker of Haute Horlogerie, was founded in Switzerland in 1791 and presented their first wristwatch with a quartz movement in 1970.
