Presented with Galleria Ca’ D’oro, the “Blue Forest” project was created to raise awareness of environmental issues through art. The trunks of the trees are wrapped in blue cloth, creating an eye-catching temporary landscape. The project will transform the scene in spectacular but short-lived fashion, respecting the ecological balance of the place, and using natural materials.
Michele Sofisti, the CEO of Sowind (which owns Girard-Perregaux and jeanrichard), noted that Micheletti was chosen for his works which shed light on the changes impacting the environment. The pen drawings which inspired Micheletti to create the “Blue Forest” will be showcased in the windows of Girard-Perregaux boutiques worldwide, customized to represent the views of the host cities.
