What timepiece would you wear on the big day? It’s a question many men have asked themselves, and although it’s another piece of jewelry takes precedence during the wedding, the watch provides the finishing touch to a look that will be immortalized in the ceremonial wedding photoshoot.
Especially when your name is George Clooney. The Omega ambassador certainly could have chosen any timepiece from the Swiss brand’s collection, but his heart settled on the 18K white gold Omega De Ville Trésor. The actor was spotted this weekend in Venice wearing the new timepiece when he tied the knot with British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
The watch, launched earlier this year at BaselWorld, is said to be inspired by the original 1949 model. It’s decorated with a vintage clou de Paris pattern finished to the highest standard, and features the brand’s new Master Co-Axial Caliber 8511. We had the chance to spot the new Omega De Ville Trésor twice, once in white gold in the London boutique, on Regent Street.

Lucky Mr. Clooney got his hands on the Omega De Ville Trésor early, since the watch will be available in stores starting in October, at the price of 11,500 CHF, or $15,000 USD.
