Every year, hundreds of the world’s most prestigious watch and jewelry brands descend on Las Vegas for the annual Couture show at Wynn Las Vegas. For the 2016 edition of the show, the Couture Time exhibition made its debut at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, where watchmakers created bespoke environments out of the hotel’s lavish ballrooms to showcase their latest timepieces.

According to Francoise Bezzola, VP of Communications at TAG Heuer, the brand “took this opportunity to present, for the very first time, its new corner and shop-in-shop concept to retailers and partners in a one-of-a-kind ballroom.”

For the American market, the show provided an excellent platform to build stronger relationships between watch brands and their retail partners. To celebrate the debut of the show, a variety of interesting events were held, including a cigar and whiskey tasting and a launch breakfast at Encore with Steve Wynn.

Wynn’s speech was a highlight of the event, and he reminded the attendees that Couture was the first event ever held at Wynn when the resort first opened its doors in 2005, “We have been together for 12 years…it’s a marriage, and now with CoutureTime, we feel we are having a baby,” he joked, noting that this marks the first time that a single event has taken over the entire ballroom space of both Wynn and Encore.

With the success of the Couture show, which focuses on jewelers from across the globe, it was time for the show organizers to introduce watches and complete the luxury package.

“We were thrilled to welcome so many important timepiece brands,” said Gannon Brousseau, Vice President of Couture. “The establishment of CoutureTime has created a true, destination event, and the convenience of having both luxury timepieces and curated designer fine jewelry in one venue has been extremely well received by our retail partners from across the globe.”

Bezzola of Tag Heuer added, “We were able to showcase in a glance the new look and feel of the brand and concept that will be rolled out globally in January. What happens in Las Vegas does not always stay there!”
