Calling Our Favorites: Hublot

Few brands have such an extensive collection as Hublot, yet also few brands have so many highlights in its collection as well. Its passion for innovation has not only revolutionized the industry but also resulted in watches that combine visual beauty with mechanical excellence, and lots of it. To pick favourites from such an extensive array of masterpieces is a daunting task by itself, but when we utilize the freedom that the term ‘favourite’ provides us with, the following are our high rankers!

Hublot Techframe Ferrari

Techframe Ferrari Tourbillon Chronograph Carbon Yellow
A flying tourbillon combined with a monopusher chronograph is enough to get my horological blood pumping, yet nobody delivers this in such a tantalizing package as Hublot with the Techframe Ferrari. With its uniquely shaped case crafted from Peek carbon fibre, offset by titanium screws and subtle yellow details, this watch is an understated beast. The unique texture of the carbon fibre gives it a masculine elegance, like a cut to the bone Rubinacci suit, which amplifies its technical prowess even more.

Hublot Orlinski

Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski (any of them!)
Hublot has many powerful partnerships, but among them, the one with artist Richard Orlinksi holds a special place for me. It combines modern art with watchmaking in a way we have not seen before. The signature style of Orlinski blends in so very well with that of Hublot, who used all its expertise to create the technically daunting cases for these watches. The result is a wearable, practical piece of modern art for your wrist.

Hublot Classic Fusion Green

Classic Fusion Green
Available as time-only or as chronograph, in either titanium or King Gold, the recent introduction of green into the Classic Fusion collection is one of distinction. The sunburst dials show such a play of light, which it seems that the watch has a constantly changing character. With its matching alligator straps, it shows the depth that even the most classic of Hublot’s possesses.

Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 3D Carbon

MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 3D Carbon
Again a watch in which its case material elevates its already impressive horological attraction levels to an even higher level. With its unique 3D Carbon case, the MP-09 introduces the geometric patterns of this material to its already extraordinary shape. But as always, it is not pure visual attraction Hublot is after. The material is not only extremely strong, but it is also very light, and that makes this heavyweight horological champion, even more, a pleasure to have on the wrist! What shows the true power of this design is that the new material could easily become the main attraction of the watch, yet in reality, it balances out nicely against the bi-axis tourbillon with its unique dial.

Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon

Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon
While Hublot is by no means a jewellery house as some brands in the industry are, few do diamond set watches better. Also in the way they set their watches they invoke that same spirit of innovation like is evident with this Spirit of Big Bang, creating a sunburst effect with baguette-cut diamonds, the watch seems to explode with light from its centre. At the same time, it also knows to highlight the unique shape of the Spirit of Big Bang case, all thanks to a highly complex, invisible setting. The tourbillon is the cherry on top, underscoring the highly exclusive nature of this masterpiece!
