Bvlgari arrived at Geneva Watch Days 2026 with a material in mind. The Roman maison unveiled three new creations at the Nyon fair, running September 2 to 4, and all of them are built in titanium, the lightweight alloy Bvlgari has treated as a creative language since 2014, when it launched the record-breaking Octo Finissimo. “Titanium has never been simply a technical choice for Bvlgari,” says Jonathan Brinbaum, Managing Director of Bvlgari Watches. “It has become one of the Maison’s most distinctive creative languages.” Here, that language speaks in three very different accents.
The Vianney Halter collaboration is the one that matters. By opening the Octo Finissimo, its most important watch and the holder of ten thinness world records, to an independent for the first time, Bvlgari is signaling that the collection has become a platform other great watchmakers want to build on. That is a rarefied position for a house still too often filed under "jeweler."
The Octo Finissimo Dual Time × Vianney Halter
The most significant of the three is a first. For the Octo Finissimo Dual Time × Vianney Halter, Bvlgari handed its record-setting ultra-thin platform to an outside watchmaker for the first time in the collection’s history, and not just any watchmaker: Vianney Halter, the French independent whose “Futur Antérieur” style, all rivets, portholes, and Jules Verne retro-futurism, has made him one of the most collected names in haute horlogerie.
Co-designed by Halter and Bvlgari’s Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the watch fuses the Octo Finissimo’s disciplined geometry with Halter’s signature multi-dial architecture: four opaline white dials, blue faceted hands, and a red arrow seconds hand, with the platinum micro-rotor engraved with Halter’s signature. It runs Bvlgari’s new BVF 200 caliber, a 5.49mm automatic that adds GMT, date, and day/night indication while holding the collection’s slim 40.5mm-by-9.70mm proportions. It comes in two limited editions: 30 pieces in sandblasted titanium on a bracelet, and 15 in rose gold on brown alligator.
The Octo Finissimo Dazzle
The second, the Octo Finissimo Dazzle, is the most conceptual watch of the group. Bvlgari laser-engraved the entire 40mm titanium watch case, dial, and integrated bracelet with a fragmented geometric pattern borrowed from “dazzle” camouflage, the disruptive graphics carmakers use to hide a prototype’s lines during road testing. The effect scrambles the eye: the Octo Finissimo’s famous angles dissolve into the pattern until only its silhouette remains, with just the bezel left untouched. It runs the ultra-thin BVL 138 automatic, a 2.23mm movement, in a 5.15mm case, and is limited to 80 pieces. It joins a line of Octo Finissimo art editions that already includes work with Tadao Ando, Kazuyo Sejima, and Lee Ufan.
The Bvlgari Titanio GMT and Chronograph
The third creation is really two watches, and the most wearable of the trio. Bvlgari Titanio reworks the Aluminium collection, the sport-chic line the house launched in 1998 by pairing aluminium with rubber, this time in grade 5 titanium and black rubber. The Titanio GMT is a 40mm traveler’s watch with a 24-hour second time zone and day/night indication, powered by the B192 automatic with a 50-hour reserve. The Titanio Chronograph is a 41mm automatic chronograph on the B381 caliber, its matte black dial accented with azure counters and a tachymeter. Both are water-resistant to 100 meters, ride on rubber straps with titanium links, and keep the double-logoed bezel that has signaled Bvlgari’s sport watches since the Bvlgari Bvlgari of 1977.
