The sound of most minute repeaters is actually rather faint, but with the help of Devialet, Ulysse Nardin pumped up the jam of the Hourstriker Phantom to a very impressive 85dB. This collaboration was continued this year with the Blast Hourstriker.

Ulysse Nardin is a brand that has not only a rich heritage but also a very diverse one. The brand was founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Switzerland, and quickly made a name for itself with its high precision chronometers. While Ulysse Nardin has always thrived in mechanical excellence, they have presented their watches in a wide variety of different styles. Whether it is restrained or progressive, the brand's most outstanding achievement is most likely that they have all made it their own. This traditional and very demanding technique is usually executed in natural materials, such as wood, straw, and feathers. Especially in World War I, the British Royal Navy painted their ships with a similar pattern, hoping to confuse enemy ships to such extent that it was hard(er) for them to place a hit. It later on also became quite a popular pattern within the art scene.
