2019 is a special year for quite a few brands, as it marks for them important events in their history. For some, it was the launch of an iconic model or important movement, while for others it was an event at which one of their watches became legendary. It may be hard to believe, but we’re more than halfway through the year. From Moonwatches to automatic chronographs, 2019 is a big year for milestone anniversaries in the watch world. Yet, rather than reissues and commemorative timepieces, we looked back at the last six months to see what new luxury watch models and collections top timepiece brands have unveiled this year.

TAG Heuer hosted a celebration in honor of its third limited-edition Monaco timepiece with celebrities like Patrick Dempsey and Olivia Culpo in attendance.

As the engines roared last weekend in France, at the 24-hours of Le Mans, TAG Heuer took the stage to launch a very special version of the Monaco. This model rose to fame, not in the least because it was on the wrist of Steve McQueen in the 1971 cult-classic 'Le Mans'. At an exclusive event, TAG Heuer treated their guests at a screening of this movie, at the place where it was made. Among them was Steve McQueen's son Chad McQueen, but also brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey, Formula E champion Jean-Éric Vergne and Derek Bell, who not only won Le Mans five times but also drove one of the cars in the movie.

What once was a trend color, has resulted in an extensive love affair; at both SIHH as well as Baselworld where there many watches that features blue dials. With that, the color has most certainly proved its staying power, which is also evident from these four watches.

Greenery, indoor ponds and more luxurious culinary options have given the fair a more upscale appearance, one that is matched by the amazing watches that are presented here!
