The New Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon; A Symmetrical Masterpiece

The list of complications in which Jaeger-LeCoultre specializes is almost endless. In 1946, the brand made its first tourbillon, then still in a pocket watch, but from 1993 it was also introduced in a wristwatch. While Jaeger-LeCoultre loves to innovate, as they did, in 2004, by making the Gyrotourbillon 1, the world's first spherical, dual-axis tourbillon, they never forget the traditional tourbillon either.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Presents “Atelier d’Antoine” Highlighting The Importance Of Interaction

A watch is often an object of true beauty by itself, but its appreciation will only increase when you know more about the brand, its history, and how the watch is made. In the last few decades, brands are trying to educate the public more about their history. They often do this not in direct connection with the launch of a new watch but simply to showcase their rich heritage. Doing so is also a challenge by itself, as many brands were founded over a century ago and didn't exactly sit still, meaning that there is a lot to share. Visiting a manufacture is another way of getting a much deeper understanding of a brand and what makes them unique. Until recently, this was a privilege often only extended to VIP clients and journalists, but not anymore.

Three New Watches That Show That Color Is The New Credo

The days that a watch would be available with either a black or a silver dial are long gone. Color is the new credo, as many brands now release watches in a rainbow of different hues. Recently, the colorful dials of the new Oyster Perpetual 41 even eclipsed the news of the revised Submariner. Blancpain and Jaeger-LeCoultre also offer a colorful take on existing favorites as they launch their new models.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Revamps A Masterful Collection

It was 1992 when Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a collection that would grow on to become one of the pillars of the brand. The watches of the Master Control collection all featured a restrained design, giving them an understated appearance. This was the way that Jaeger-LeCoultre demonstrated its excellence, as everybody familiar with them, knew that these watches where fitted with some of the best movements in the industry. Almost three decades later, little has changed, as the new Master Control collection is once again prone to become a benchmark.

Four Novelties From Watches & Wonders We Are Over The Moon About

A moon phase display is among the oldest complications in watches. Despite the fact that their practical use is limited, do they remain very popular. With good reason, as a moon phase is adding some old school appeal to a watch as well as a touch of romance. Four Watch Designs That Stood The Test Of Time

Staying power is something that every watch brand hopes for when they launch a new model. Achieving this is far more complicated than it might seem at first. Many new models will be tweaked in their design within a relatively short period after their launch, while others ride a wave of fashion only to be discontinued as this wave is taken over by another one. Only with a rare few, the passing of time doesn't seem to get a hold of them. They have become icons for their respective brands, and benchmarks for the rest of the industry. But that doesn't mean that they did it by merely being idle.

Whirlwind Romance: Tourbillon Watches For Her This Valentine’s Day

After all, it’s not the practicality of mechanical watches that captures our attention anymore—there are countless devices that can tell us the time—but rather the romance, whimsy, and audacity of it all. So what better way to revel in that romance by having an “open heart” with a tourbillon watch?

Grammys 2020 And The Serious Watch Collectors Among Music Royalty

Last night the 2020 edition of the Grammy awards was a clean sweep for Billie Eilish, who took home all the four major awards; the one for best album, record, the song of the year, and best new artist. This hadn't happened since 1981 when Christopher Cross accomplished precisely the same thing. Their success enables them to pursue their passion, but the way in which they do this differs.

The New Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 Feuille; A Rare Delight

What looks like a tennis-bracelet with a twist is one of the most exquisite watches in the world. While it's diamond setting is impressive, it is what is hidden that makes this creation so exceptional. Underneath the diamond-set leaf, there is a small dial telling the time most discreetly. In most cases, such a tiny watch is powered by a quartz movement, but not this Jaeger-LeCoultre. In fact, it houses a mechanical movement that was developed 90 years ago.
